Mau5head

A couple of years ago when Deadmau5 became a known DJ/Producer name throughout the night clubs globally, Halloween became such a fun & crafty time for me. My curiosity with his on-stage custom led me to create my own versions of it for both myself and several DJ clients. Working with very little info available on the original Mau5head's contstruction, utilizing my extensive background in CAD engineering, I have managed to replicate the Mau5heads accurately simply through trial and errors. Basically, a lot of trips back and forth to the hobby, hardware and specialty stores! Thus far, I have made a total of four.

Faux 3D Foam Art

Together with a friend, Tyler Mier, through the utilization of vector softwares, pencils, markers, vinyl printing, dense foam, sharp razor blades, hot glue, and power tools, we were able to bring some of our perosnal & favorite artworks to a visual 3D representation. The process of making one piece is long and painstaking, as all the artworks required replication of the same tasks, two or even three times. Pictures does not do any of these artworks justice, but it does give you an idea of the semi-3D effect that we were trying to project.

Sticker Crafts

Not too long ago, I got bored of looking at my plain monochromatic laptop surfaces, that changed quick the day came across an art style called "Sticker Bomb". Soon after, I saw myself making my own stickers through Adobe Illustrator by vectorizing all my of favorite pop art artworks and printing them on special adhesive paper purchased at the local Staples' store. Now, my laptop looks like a rainbow just threw up on it and for the first month, no surfaces were safe from my sticker bombing escapade. Since every sticker were custom made/printed, they had to be individually cut. As a result, I think I may have gotten a slight case of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Well, maybe. But the results were well worth it, one of my favorite Pop Art Artist, Bobsmade, featured my work on their Facebook page.
